Student Atheletes

 

Every year ACI sports teams compete in many sports events. Over 200 students join these kinds of events. The most popular ones are Basketball, tennis, badminton and swimming.

Just like in ACI students from all around the world do athletics in over 30 fields. In order to compete in any kind of you must have an average of C and a GPA of 2.0. 

 

Every year in America over 150.000 students join a sports team both highschool and college. They join the teams knowing that they both represent their families and school. Any type of bad behavior both effects their life as a student and an athlete.

 

This year our girls tennis team won the second place in Izmir championship and they went to Kocaeli for the Turkish championship. One of our classmate named Alin Ataz was a part of that team and I interviewed her.

I asked her opinions about the team and how was the tournament ?

 

She said ‘’ The tournament was really fun. I really enjoyed being part of a team that has great people in it. Our team has students from all levels and the tournament gave us a chance on getting to know each other beter and bond. Even though I didn’t play a lot I always wanted my team to do the best. Also I was really upset that I didn’t g oto Kocaeli for the Turkish Championship but I tried to support them as much as I could’’.
